How to measure your foot
- Stand on a sheet of paper against a wall, with your heel touching the wall.
- Mark the tip of your longest toe and measure from the wall to the mark in centimetres.
- Measure both feet and use the longer one, since most people have one slightly bigger foot.
- Measure in the afternoon or evening, when feet are at their largest.
- Find your measurement in the “Foot length” column.
Fit tips
- Running shoes: leave about a thumb’s width of space in front of your longest toe, because your feet swell as you run.
- Between sizes? Choose your usual size, or go up half a size for a looser fit.
- Wide feet: look for products marked wide or with a wider toe box.
- UK sizes: men’s UK sizes are roughly half a size to one size smaller than US men’s sizes, and this varies by brand.
- Different brands fit differently. If a product page gives brand-specific advice, follow that first.
